Gyükér Zsófia

I am one of those lucky people “whose hobby is their job”, but for me this also means that I try to get the most out of what I like to do in terms of quality. I work with graphite, pastel+watercolor pencil, oil paint, less often with watercolor paint. I do paintings and drawings for commission, for galleries, and for my own pleasure. (In addition, I write, draw and publish the horse-pony comic book series “Hókavölgy”.)

My favorite creative subject is animals, including horses and dogs, but I am happy to paint anything/anyone who inspires me.

I am often invited to exhibitions, I had several solo exhibitions in Budapest, but I also exhibited in Veszprém, Sátoraljaújhely, Esztergom, Tamási, Harsány, Monor, Isaszeg, Pécel, Csákvár and Keszthely. My works have also traveled to several places outside our borders: to the Louvre in Paris, Rimaszombat, and to Vienna twice. In 2022, one of my works is also on display on Ibiza for a permanent exhibition. Since the autumn of 2024, three pastel+watercolour artworks became part of Hotel Triglav’s permanent exhibition (private collection of the place) in Bled, Slovenia. From November 2025, I was given a solo exhibiting room in Studio Galerie, in Mariazell, Austria with a possibility to continously show my artworks. In Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2026 March, I had a one month long solo exhibition. And soon, in 2026 November, a new solo exhibition can be visited from 2nd of November to 30th of November in Bled Castle’s Stolp Gallery, in Slovenia.
